This Is the Worst Refugee Crisis Since WWII. It's Time for Us to Rethink Our Response

Why Sponsor a Syrian Refugee Family ?

The conflict in Syria civil war has sparked "the biggest humanitarian emergency of our era”, according to the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees.

More than half of Syria’s pre-war population of 23 million is in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.

4 million refugees now live outside Syria and at least 7 million are displaced inside the country.

This is such a large problem that many of us think that we can’t make difference.

That is not true. You can change the lives of one family.

Bridges of Mercy project wants to give one family an opportunity to start a new life in Canada.

We can do that with your help.

How Much Will It Cost to Sponsor a Family ?

It will cost $35,000 per each family we sponsor. We need to raise funds to support the family for a year while they transition to their life in the Greater Toronto Area.

This will cover start-up, monthly expenses and a small contingency amount. This amount will allow the family a very modest standard of living.

We invite you to contribute to this designated fund as generously as you are able. Donations will be tax-receiptable.
